Need the money quickly? Here is how fast we usually are.
V5 Solutions lends directly, so there is no broker in the chain. Apply online any time, and most loans go from application to bank transfer within 24 working hours. How soon the money shows in your account then depends on your bank.

From quote to payout
Five steps, and how long each usually takes.
-
Step 01: Start your quote
Enter your registration and tell us about your income and outgoings. A soft search with TransUnion produces a personal quote and leaves no mark on your credit score.
Any time, online
-
Step 02: Share 60 days of statements
Our underwriters email you a secure Open Banking link. You log in to your own bank and share your last 60 days of statements, with nothing to print or upload. If the email is missing, check your junk folder.
Through Open Banking
-
Step 03: Talk to an underwriter, then e-sign
An underwriter calls to check the repayments are affordable and to answer your questions. If everything fits, we email the agreement for you to read and sign electronically in your own time.
Usually within 2 working hours
-
Step 04: Sign the Bill of Sale
For most loans a signing agent comes to you to witness the Bill of Sale. In Scotland, and for some other UK loans, you sign a Hire Purchase agreement online instead, and no visit is needed.
Usually within 3 working hours of approval
-
Step 05: The money is sent
Once your payout details are confirmed we send the money by online bank transfer. The time it takes to land in your account depends on your bank.
Depends on your bank
How we count the hours
You can apply online at any time of day. Our underwriters work Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm and are closed at weekends and on bank holidays, so every timing on this page is counted in those working hours, and an application sent after we close is picked up when we open again. Once the money is sent, how quickly it lands depends on your bank.
Questions about speed
How fast is a V5 Solutions logbook loan?
Most loans complete within 24 working hours of applying. An underwriter usually calls within 2 working hours, a signing agent usually visits within 3 working hours of approval, and the money is then sent by bank transfer. How quickly it reaches your account depends on your bank.
Can I get the money the same day I apply?
It can happen, but we never promise it. Timings are counted in working hours, so an application sent after we close is picked up when we open again. We are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm.
Does anyone need to see the car?
Most of the process is online and by phone. For most loans a signing agent visits, usually within 3 working hours of approval, to witness the Bill of Sale and take a photo of you with the car for identity purposes. In Scotland, and for some other UK loans, you sign a Hire Purchase agreement online and send us the photos and documents instead, with no visit needed.
Will a quick quote affect my credit score?
No. The quote uses a soft credit search with TransUnion, which does not affect your credit score.
When are you open?
Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm. We are closed at weekends and on bank holidays. You can apply online at any time.
Borrowing responsibly. However urgent the need, we only lend when the repayments are affordable for you. Our service is not advised, so if you are worried about money you can get free, impartial help from MoneyHelper (opens in a new tab), StepChange (opens in a new tab) or Citizens Advice (opens in a new tab).
