What we lend against
Age counts: cars under 15 years old are more likely to be accepted. The make and model matter too.
Vans go through exactly the same vehicle checks as cars, whether you drive yours for work or not.
A motorbike you own outright can secure a loan on the same terms and with the same checks.
What you can borrow rests on two things: what the vehicle is worth and what you can afford. Even against a valuable car we only lend what the repayments allow, because affordability comes first.
Enter the registration in the quote form and find out, or call our UK team on 01924 221854. We are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm.
Cars, vans and motorbikes. Cars under 15 years old are more likely to be accepted, and the make and model matter. Enter your registration to see whether yours is suitable.
Between £1,000 and £50,000, up to 80% of your vehicle's value, subject to vehicle, credit and affordability checks.
Yes, provided you can show that the vehicle is yours.
For most loans a signing agent visits, usually within 3 working hours of approval, to witness the Bill of Sale and take a photo of you with the vehicle for identity purposes. In Scotland, and for some other UK loans, you sign a Hire Purchase agreement online and send us the photos and documents instead, so no visit is needed.
No. Every key stays with you.
No. The same vehicle checks apply to cars, vans and motorbikes.
Your vehicle is the security for the loan. Your car may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on a loan secured against it. What the Bill of Sale means for you.

Photos are examples of each make and model, not the actual vehicles quoted, so the model shown may differ. Each amount is the loan offered to that driver, not what their car is worth: offers depend on the vehicle and the driver's own circumstances, so the same car can be quoted very differently. Every loan is subject to affordability checks.
